LOIS J. JACKSON, 81, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2012. Born in Fort Wayne, in 1930, she graduated from South Side High School in 1948. Shortly thereafter, she married Carl Jackson; he preceded her in death in 1972. She loved to read, often finishing an entire book in a single day. She also enjoyed her dogs, raising and showing champion chihuahuas. She is survived by her son, Steve (Maria) Jackson of Fort Wayne; daughters, Diane (Larry) Goodman of Kenosha, Wis. and Karen (Frank) Kimbrough of Fort Wayne; sister, Betty (Alfred) Rasp of Olympia, Wash.; and three grandchildren. A private service was held at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials to the Anthony Wayne Rotary Charitable Foundation, Inc., 111 East Wayne St. Suite 800, Fort Wayne, IN 46802 - to further the foundation's charitable efforts to bring dictionaries and encyclopedias to underprivileged children.
