ROBERT "MEMPHIS BOB" KETTLE, 58, passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2012, at St. Joseph Hospital. Born in Janesville, Wis., her worked for General Motors for 31 years, retiring in 2007. He was a member of UAW 2209. His passion was his love for music He enjoyed collecting guitars, NASCAR memorabilia, listening to Rock 104, supporting the local musicians, and spending time with his family and friends. "Memphis Bob touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed." Surviving are his loving wife of 34 years, Mary Kettle of Fort Wayne; son, Brian (Kristine) Kettle of Janesville, Wis.; brother, John (Kathy) Kettle of Janesville, Wis.; grandson, Devon Kettle of Janesville, Wis.; sister-in-law, Nola Kettle of Columbia City; his close and best friend, "Jamaica" Bob Kulas; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents, William and Yvonne Kettle; and brother, Richard Kettle. Memorial service is 7 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2012, at D.O. McComb & Son Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Road, with calling beginning at 2 p.m. In honor of Bob, the family requests that guests wear their tie dyed clothes. Arrangements by D.O.
