SUSAN VESEY SPANGLER, 69, of Clear Lake, Fremont and Ft. Myers, Fla., died on Monday, May 7, 2012, at Clear Lake. Born Oct. 9, 1942, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late W. Joseph and Geraldine (Findley) Vesey. She married James "Jim" Spangler on May 4, 1963, in Fort Wayne; he survives in Fremont. With her love of children, she was a teacher for over 30 years and the owner of multiple pre-schools. She retired from The American Red Cross as Executive Director of the Steuben County Indiana Chapter. She enjoyed her winters in Florida. "She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends." Also surviving are her son, James (Janet) Spangler II of Zebulon, N.C.; daughter, Amy (Gregg) Spegal of Fairland, Ind.; brother, William (Susie) Vesey of Fishers; granddaughters, Sarah, Olivia and Maren; and step-grandchildren, Megan, Cameron Spegal. A Memorial gathering will be announced at a later date. A private family burial will take place on Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at Ray - Covenanter Cemetery, Fremont.
