ALVA RUBLE, 56, passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2012, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born in Rushville, Ind., he worked at Lake End Sales for six years. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, and riding along the Aboite Trails. Surviving are his life partner of 32 years, David Shaw of Fort Wayne; sisters, Elaine Martin and Kay Ruble, both of Huntington; and brother, Gary Ruble of Huntington; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Helen Ruble. Service is 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., with calling from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Rev. Linda Martin officiating. Memorials may be made to the A.S.P.C.A.
