BETTY J. BUETTGENBACH, 76, passed away at her home, surrounded by her family, Sunday morning May 13, 2012 after an extended illness. She was the daughter of John and Liberty Alcorn and was a life long resident of New Haven. She was married to Irah Buettgenbach Sr. on Nov. 14, 1953. Betty retired from Luginbille Tool & Die in New Haven and is a member of the Three Rivers Baptist Church. She enjoyed knitting, volunteering for different organizations and her grandchildren. Surviving are sons, Irah (Katherine) Buettgenbach Jr., Calvin (Julie) Buettgenbach; daughters, Pamela "Pam" (William) Butler, Carla Beetham; brothers, John Alcorn, Carl Alcorn, James (Jeanne) Alcorn; sister, Helen Gerig; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also survived by her special angels, Dawn and Stephanie, who cared for her in her last days. Preceding her in death are her husband, Irah Sr.; parents, sisters, Jeanne Landis and Patrica Bowers. Funeral is noon Tuesday May 15, 2012 at the Waynedale Baptist Church, 633 Lower Huntington Road, with visitation 10 a.m. until time of service. Pastor Wayne Gullion will officiate.
