REGINA M. SNYDER-BUSSE, 91, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2012, at Saint Anne Home & Retirement Community. Born in Terry ville, Conn., she graduated from Grace Hospital College and University of Saint Francis. She served in the Army Nurse Corps during World War II in the South Pacific and many soldiers died in her arms on the front lines. She was a Clinical Instructor and Director of Inservice Education with St. Joseph Hospital, retiring in 1975. She was a charter member of Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Surviving are her children, Jay (Kathy) Snyder of Albion, Rita (Joe) Squadrito of Fort Wayne and Linda Polk of Lafayette; brother, E. Harold (Claire) Piotrowski of Thomaston, Conn.; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Romalda Piotrowski; first husband, Porter Snyder, in 1958; husband, Hermann Busse died 2000; brother, John Piotrowski; and sisters, Lucille Janser and Edna Kremski. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 18, 2012, at Saint Anne Home Chapel, with calling one hour prior. Fr. John Overmyer officiating.
