WARREN A. SCHLADENHAUFFEN, 89, of Auburn and formerly of Angola, died Sunday May 20, 2012 at his home in Auburn. He was born Feb. 12, 1923 in Decatur, son of Emil and Lillie Ann (Fisley) Schladenhauffen. He was a World War II U.S. Army Veteran and worked at Dur-Enamel Paint Company for 34 years before retiring in 1985. He was a member of Grace Summit Church and Calvary Ministries International. He married Marjorie E. Steffen on Sept. 23, 1945 in Bluffton and she died Aug. 2, 2010. He is survived by a daughter and son, Ann M. Liechty and her husband Jay of Auburn and Warren D Schladenhauffen and his wife Candace of LaGrange; a brother, Harold Schladenhauffen of Bluffton; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; three sisters, Esther Aschleman, Edith Stultz, Clara Fiechter; four brothers Amos, Sam, Charles and Everett Schladenhauffen. Memorial service is 3 p.m. Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Life Bridge Church, 12719 Corbin Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46845 with visitation two hours prior. The Rev Larry Goodwin officiating.
