PATSY K. BURKETT, 74, passed away Monday, June 11, 2012, at St. Anne Home & Retirement Community. Born in Spartanburg, S.C., she worked as a Supervisor with Rogers Markets for 40 years, retiring in 1995. She was a member of Leo United Methodist Church. She and her husband enjoyed going to the Civic Theater, Komet hockey games and traveling. She loved her family and cherished her grandchildren. Surviving are her loving husband of 50 years, Vernon D. Burkett of Fort Wayne; daughters, Kimberly (Mike) Berger of Indianapolis and Pamela (Jay) Stillwell of Leo; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; and brothers, Paul W. (Rose) Hamrick, and Max A. (Marty) Hamrick both of Fort Wayne. Patsy was preceded in death by parents, Clyde and Sallie Hamrick; and brother, James L. Hamrick. Service is 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 15, 2012 at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road with calling one hour prior. Rev. David Heim officiating. Calling also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne, Ind.
