SUSAN J. (MAXWELL) CARTER, 42 of Ray City, Ga. passed away at home on Monday, May 28, 2012 after a short illness. She was born Aug. 19, 1969 in Sidney, Ohio and graduated in 1987 from Fort Wayne Christian School in Fort Wayne. She resided in the Ray City area for the past 18 years. Surviving are her mother, Sherrell Clifford of Ray City and father Thomas (Carin) Maxwell of Fort Wayne. She was a loving daughter and devoted mother of her four children who also survive her in Georgia: daughters, Melisa Carter, Cheryl Carter, and Katy Carter; and a son, Matthew Carter. A brother, Michael-Jon (Sarah) Maxwell of Fort Wayne; and grandmother, Susie Maxwell of Jackson Center, Ohio also survive. She was preceded in death by a brother, Eric Maxwell. Memorial service is 1 p.m. Saturday, June 16,2012 at Christ the King Church, 17570 State Route 274, Jackson Center, Ohio.
