DONALD A. ANDERSON, 85, of Fort Wayne, died July 8, 2012, in Muskegon, Mich. He was born June 20, 1927, in Pontiac, to Alvin and Leah (Veihl) Anderson. On February 14, 1948, in Montague, Mich. he married the former Carol Sutter. Mrs. Anderson preceded him in death on March 26, 2010. He had worked as a fleet supervisor for GTE until retiring. He proudly served in the US Navy during World War II, and was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne. He was an avid runner, a true competitor and completed many area running events. Surving are his children, Cathy (Mike) Lipka of Center Point, Texas, Steve (Cindy) Anderson of Muskegon, MIch. and Judy (Edward) Gee of Medina, Texas; his grandchildren, Will (Taylor) Lipka; and great-grandchildren, Lex & Jett, Wes (Kelsey) Lipka; and great-great-granddaughter, Julie (Michael) Anderson and his daughter, Madeline Morgan, Joel Anderson and Megan Anderson (fiance, Devin Schnepp); many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Gretchen Wiltse; and brothers, Christian Anderson, Harold Anderson, Robert Anderson and Armand Anderson. Funeral Service is 11 a.m. Thursday, July 12, 2012, at St. James Lutheran Church, 8945 Stebbins St., Montague, Mich. with the Rev. John W. Brooks officiating. Interment will be made in Oakgrove Cemetery, Montague, Mich. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Clock Funeral Home of White Lake, 413 S. Mears Ave., Whitehall, Mich.
