MICHAEL ALLEN NEUMANN, 68, formerly of Fort Wayne, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2012 at the Florida Hospital Heartland Medical Center in Sebring, Fla. He was born November 6, 1943 in Fort Wayne, the son of the late Carl Neumann & Lona Grossmann Carpenter. He moved to the Frostproof, Fla. area 10 years ago from Fort Wayne. He was a retired insurance sales agent, a former member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne and a veteran of Vietnam, serving in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion Post #69 in Avon Park, Fla. and Post #499 in Fort Wayne and the V.F.W. Post #4300 in Sebring, Fla. He enjoyed fishing and golfing. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Sandra "Sandy" Neumann; two sons, Brad Neumann (Deborah) of Fort Wayne, and Jeff Neumann (Buffy) of Grant, Ala.; two brothers, Jeff Carpenter of Clever, Mo. and John Carpenter of Clever, Mo.; and one grandson, Zeke Neumann. A local memorial service will be held at a later date at the American Legion in Avon Park, Fla.
