BONNIE J. DOWLING, 79, passed away on Monday, Aug. 20, 2012, at Kingston Residence, Fort Wayne. Born in Grant County, she work ed in the customer service department with Central Soya Company for 26 years, retiring in 1993. She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and Women's Group, and also Central Soya Retired Ladies. She enjoyed being with her family and activities at the church. Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Clarence Dowling; daughter, Janet S. Dowling of Rio Rancho, N.M.; sons, James R. (Sue) Dowling of Fort Wayne and David A. Dowling of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; grandchildren, Greg (Sarah) Dowling of Fort Wayne, Jenae (Steven) Fundingsland of Savannah, Ga. and Anna E. (Scott) VanWesten of Fort Wayne; great-grandson James Fundingsland of Savannah, Ga.; and a great-granddaughter, Violet Marie Dowling of Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by her three brothers; and one sister. Funeral service is 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 2417 Getz Road, with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Dr. Derek Weber officiating. Calling also be from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012, at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Chapel, 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne.
