CURTIS CALVIN HILL, 88, passed away on Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, in Libertyville, Ill. Born July 20, 1924, in Chicago, where he was a graduate of Tilden Tech High School. He was a World War II U.S. Marine Corps veteran and a mechanical engineering graduate of Purdue University in 1949. He was also a member of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity and the John Purdue Club. He received his CPCU following graduation and was the retired vice President of O'Rourke, Andrew, and Maroney Insurance agency, from 1963 to 1989. He was a member of Trinity English Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne, the Orchard Ridge Country Club, the Coliseum Lions Club and Royal Order of Jesters. He was an active member of the Scottish Rite in Fort Wayne, the Mizpah Shrine, Legion of Honor, and Shriner's Hospital Transportation Unit. Surviving are his sons, John Clark (Karen) Hill of Fort Wayne and Bruce (Molly) Hill of Libertyville, Ill.; seven grandchildren, Jon (Jo), Lois, Kenny, Paige, Andrew, Theresa, and Patrick Hill; and sister-in-law, Mary F. Borke of Chicago/Seattle, Wash. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elvira "Ann" Hill, in 2003; and siblings, Lester, Harriett and Gilbert. Memorial service is 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, in the chapel at Trinity English Lutheran Church, 405 W. Wayne St., Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
