BETTY JEAN CHRISTLIEB, 86, of Tavares, Fla., passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012. Born in Leo, Ind., she had been a resident of the Tavares area for the past 51 years coming from Mont verde, Fla. A 1949 graduate of St. Joe College, Fort Wayne, she was a Registered Nurse and had taught nursing at both Valencia Community College and Orange Memorial Hospital, both in Orlando, Fla. She was a member of Berean Baptist Church and had been very active in the "prayer chain". Some of her many hobbies included an interest in antique books, bells and traveling. An interesting note was the fact that prior to marrying Argle, she had never traveled more that 30 miles from home. Survivors include her loving husband of 62 years, Argle of Tavares, Fla.; one son, Steve Christlieb of Citra, Fla.; one daughter, Karen Jean Snyder of Clearwater, Fla.; four grandchildren, Brian, Scott and Julie Snyder, and Chad Christlieb; and one great-grandchild, Bryson Snyder. She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Funeral service is 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funerals & Cremations, 226 East Burleigh Boulevard, Tavares, Fla., with Pastor Terry Weaver of the Berean Baptist Church officiating. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at the funeral home. Entombment will follow service in Lakeside Memory Gardens, Eustis, Fla.
