RICHARD E. ZYCH, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013 (on his 76th birthday). Born in Fort Wayne, Richard graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1956. He served in both the Army (PFC) and Navy (AOC/AC) from 1956 to 1986. He also retired from GTE and Butler Telecom. He was a member of Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, American Legion, past Boy Scout Den leader and past President of the Polish National Alliance. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; children, Valerie (Fred) Grant, Andrea (Scott) Keim, Richard (Helen) Zych, and Victoria (Chadd) Neace; sister, Joanne (Joe) Starewich; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents, Albert and Lillian; and brother, Carl. Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, with calling one hour prior. Msgr. Robert C. Schulte officiating.
