NANCY RUTH (nee MANON) CLARK, her faithful Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ gently transi tioned from life to life eternal on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at her home in Kingston Residence on Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, where she had lived for three years. Born April 26, 1912, in Farmer Township, Defiance County, Ohio, she was the youngest and only surviving child of seven of the late Anna and Fred Manon. She was baptized in the name of the Triune God at Zion Lutheran Church, Edgerton, Ohio on June 23, 1912, and was confirmed there July 18, 1926. A 1930 graduate of Farmer High School, Nancy completed training as a Registered Nurse at the former Methodist Hospital School of Nursing, Fort Wayne, in 1933. In 1934, she married Virgil Clark ( 1976). She concluded her career as Supervisor of Nurses for the Allen County Health Department in 1974. Bethlehem Lutheran Church, S. Anthony Boulevard, was her congregation. During her years there she functioned as a member of the Altar Guild, Ladies Aid Society, Lutheran Women's Missionary League, and Federation of Lutheran Women. Survivors include her son, Lee (Jackie) Clark of Cape Cod, Mass.; grandchildren, Dr. Misha (Mike) Kilmer of Medfield, Mass. and Martina (Don) Goss of Potomac Falls, Va.; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. "Nancy wanted to be remembered (her words) 'as a Christian, happy person, a good friend helping others in time of trouble, and always depending on the Lord for help'." A Memorial service of worship in praise and thanksgiving to her loving Lord is 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 3705 S. Anthony Blvd., Fort Wayne, where a drop-in gathering to remember Nancy is from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Those who desire may remain for the meal to follow. Please make memorial donations to Bethlehem.
