. DONALD W. WALDRON, 87, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, 8:05 a.m., at Harbour Assisted Living, Fort Wayne. He was a 1943 graduate of Hazelton High School, Hazelton, Pa. He was a World War II Army veteran serving in the 1075th Engineer Port Repair Ship. He worked as a service manager for United Airlines for 38 years; he started in Allentown, Pa. and retired from Fort Wayne Airport in 1978. He was a member of the American Legion Post 296 of Fort Wayne and the Waynedale Masonic Lodge. He was a volunteer worker at The Embassy, Fort Wayne for several years. He was a member of the Fort Wayne Barbershop Quartet. He started the Markle Bow Hunters Club. Born Aug. 21, 1925, in Hazelton, Pa., he was a son of Joseph and Dawn (Griffith) Waldron. He was united in marriage to Audrey M. Wunderlich for 25 years; she preceded him in death on Nov. 15, 2012. His second marriage was to Corinne Martin; she preceded him in death on Oct. 19, 2009. Survivors include two sons, Gary Waldron of Markle and Mark Waldron of Franklin, Ind.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Jennings Waldron. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee St., Markle, with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Greg Comp officiating. Visitation also from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, at the the funeral home. Interment in Markle Cemetery.
