THOMAS HUGH LANGMEYER, 82, of Fort Wayne, died on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013 at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. "Tom's life centered around God, family, and country." He had been a member of St. Therese Catholic Church for over 50 years, and regularly attended St. Gaspar Church, Wolcottville, during "lake season". "He always put his wife, Helen, first and loved being surrounded by family." He worked for the Kroger Company for over 40 years. "He loved this country and proudly served in the Marines from 1951 to 1954. He was thankful for his abundant blessings, and was particularly thankful for the freedoms we enjoy as citizens of this country. Creativity colored many aspects of Tom's life. " He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, and woodworking; he was a good cook; and had a "green thumb". "Dry wit and playful sarcasm were his trademarks. Tom will be greatly missed by the many, and we will remember him fondly until we meet again. "And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die"(John 11:25-26)."
