HORACE A. "BUD" HADE, 83, joined his maker, Friday, Feb. 8, 2013 with his loved ones near. Born in Fort Wayne, he was a veteran of the Korean War. After returning to civilian life, he established his own masonry company and was noted by many as a "stone masonry artist." A true entrepreneur, creating and inventing many different businesses, including pre-formed fireplace boxes, burnt wood furniture and more, winning awards for some. "Born a dreamer, he could imagine and create it." He is survived by his wife, Sharon Mack Hade; son, Mark (Debbie) Hade, daughter, Pamela (Larry) Wheeler; Rick (Viann) Mack; and Justin (Melanie) Mack; granchildren, Christopher and Bryan Hade, Hannah Wheeler, Rex Mack, and Travis Mack; a sister, Dorothy Carson; and a brother, Theodore Hade. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Leland and Florence (Snyder) Hade; sister, Helen Van Kirk; and brother, Richard Hade. "He was greatly loved by many nieces and nephews, and will be missed by all who knew him." Memorials to the American Legion.
