GERALDINE R. MEYER, 88, of Bluffton, formerly of rural Ossian, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at Christian Care Retirement Community. Born Oct. 1, 1924, in Allen County, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Ida (Luttman) Scheumann. She was a homemaker and member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and will be remembered as an avid supporter of family activities. Surviving family include her children, Carol (Dennis) Buuck of Lafayette, Lloyd (Joellen) Meyer of Ossian, Dale (Marcia) Meyer of Bluffton, and Phyllis Kenline of Fort Wayne; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Garnita Rebber and Arnold Schemann. She was also preceded in passing by her husband, Albert Meyer, in 2008; siblings, Lona Horman, Margaret Kiefer, Henry Scheumann, and Raymond Scheumann. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 7545 N. 650 East, Ossian, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill St., Ossian. Burial in Bethlehem Lutheran Church Cemetery.
