EUGENE G. DEININGER, 83, died on Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at at home with his loving family by his side. Born on Thanksgiving Day in 1929, Gene was the son of Albert and Golda Deinin ger. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served in Japan during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Shambaugh & Son in 1991. Surviving are sons, Stephen (Darlene) and Thomas (Rita) Deininger; daughters, Linda (Kip) Schinnerer, Janet Deininger, Kaye (Brian) Parker, and Beth (Bryan) Moore; grandchildren, Stacey (Dennis), Brad, Melissa, Chase, Elizabeth, Krista Gene, Matthew, Loretta, Jenna, Emily, Jared, Nate, Joel, Mitchell Gene, and Ben; great-granddaughters, Ella, Cailin, and Avery; and sister, Loretta Meinzen. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Theresa (Minnick); six sisters, and five brothers. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 15, 2013, at St Peter's Catholic Church, 518 East Dewald St., Fort Wayne, IN 46803, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday July 14, 2013, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Homes, Wayne Street Chapel, 420 West Wayne St., Fort Wayne.
