KATHRYN NADEAN BONTRAGER BECKER, 96, of North Manchester, formerly of Ligonier, Warsaw and Silver Lake, Ind., died on Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, 6:23 a.m., at Timber crest Health care Center, North Manchester. Born Nov. 8, 1917, in Nappanee, Ind., she was a daughter of the late Edward Franklin Gall and Viola Lucena (Mitchell) Gall. She worked at Lake City Bank, Warsaw for 15 years. She married G. Joseph Bontrager on Sept. 28, 1935; he died on Dec. 30, 1995. She married Paul Russell Becker on May 16, 1999; he died on Nov. 1, 2006. She was a member of Manchester Church of the Brethren and a former member of West Eel River Church of the Brethren. She graduated from Nappanee High School. Her senior photo caption was "A woman's crowning glory is her hair.". Surviving are her son, Mark E. (Ruth) Bontrager of Fort Wayne; daughters, Brenda Jo Falconer of Rockford, Ill., Deborah (James) Lotz of Warsaw and Victoria Kay Bontrager of Corpus Christi, Texas; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one grandchild, two brothers and one sister. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Timbercrest Chapel, 2201 East St., North Manchester, with visitation starting at 9:30 a.m. Pastor Karen Eberly officiating.
