LENORA MARY (ANKENBRUCK) KNUTH, 91, of died on Tuesday, March 4, 2014. Born Sept. 2, 1922, she lived her entire life in Fort Wayne. She retired from Horton Manufacturing Co. in 1949. She was a member of Queen of Angels Catholic Church and its Rosary Society. She married Russell E. Knuth in 1949; he preceded her in death in 2003. Surviving are sons, John R. (Regina) Knuth and Eugene A. (Elsbeth) Knuth, both of Fort Wayne; daughters, Barbara M. Knuth (Andrew Stevenson) of Traverse City, Mich., Kathleen A. (Stephen) Widau of Sturgis, Mich., Gloria B. Knuth of Green Bay, Wis., and Carol L. (Jerry) Bear of Goodyear, Ariz.; sister, Marie King of East Lansing, Mich.; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Margaret (Genth) Ankenbruck; daughter, Margaret L. McMeans; brother, Donald Ankenbruck. Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Monday at Queen of Angels Catholic Church, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N. Wells St., with a Vigil service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials to Queen of Angels for masses, St. Mary's Soup Kitchen or a charity of donor's choice.
