BETTY L. (GOOD) FUNCK, 88, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Born in Marion, Ind., Betty worked as a Associate Professor with IPFW Nursing Department for 18 years, retiring in 1987 as professor emeritus. She was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church and the IPFW Nursing Retirees Group. Surviving are her son, Bernard R. (Elizabeth) Funck of Charlotte, N.C.; daughters, Catherine A. (Stan) Hause and Alice M. (Tom) Schuelke both of Fort Wayne, and Laura Schmitt of Laotto; grandchildren, Jack, Nicholas and Alex Funck, Matthew Hause and Laura Perry, Mark and Andrew Schuelke, Jason, Christopher and Jonathon Noble; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Nicholas, Payton and Noah; brother, George Good of Kokomo, Phillip Good, Earl Good and Burl Good all of Wabash; sisters, Mildred Good of Wabash, and Mary Bowling of Rockford, Ill. She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Funck; parents, Dorsey C. and Alice L. Good; brother, Robert Good; sisters, Pauline Pavlick and Phyllis Good Garrett. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2014 at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church with calling one hour prior. Fr. Daniel Scheidt officiating.
