GARY A. STITTSWORTH, 63, of Fort Wayne, the love of Marti's life, died on Sunday, March 30, 2014, and entered his heavenly home. Born Feb. 7, 1951, in Van Wert, Ohio, he was a son of the late Chester and Madonna Stittsworth. A member of Christ's Church at Georgetown, Fort Wayne where he served 12 years as Youth Leader; also as Elder, Teacher, and Mentor, he worked as a technical support and design engineer at Raytheon for 30 years. "Gary was a devout and godly man of the highest integrity and faithfulness; a man of quiet strength, and a man of wit and humor who blessed us all with love and laughter." Gary served 20 1/2 years in the Ohio Army National Guard. This tender-hearted man also served Boys Little League, Girls Softball, Marching Band Pit Crew; and in countless other capacities. "He will be greatly missed and will never be forgotten." He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Marti J. (Martha Stripe) Stittsworth; children, Julie Stittsworth, Jason (Allison) Stittsworth and Jeanie Stittsworth; and grandchildren, Emma, Amaya and Khloe. He was also preceded in death by a son, James Christian Stittsworth; and brother, David Stittsworth. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Friday, April 4, 2014, at Christ's Church at Georgetown, 3131 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 2014, at the church. Burial in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert, Ohio.
