GEORGE D. ARTOUX, 71, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 30, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. Born Sept. 9, 1942, in San Francisco, Calif., George was a truck driver with United Parcel Freight for 25 years. He was an active member of Harvester Avenue Missionary Church where he enjoyed being involved with the bus ministry and loved helping people. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Margaret (Houston) Artoux of Fort Wayne; daughters, Nancy Myers and Tina (Chad) Shelton, both of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Madeline, Elliot, Mark, and Isabelle; brother, Gary (Marlena) Armstrong of Florence, Ore.; and sister, Julie (Mark Mullenary) Artoux of Santa Barbara, Calif. Service is 2 p.m. Saturday at Harvester Avenue Missionary Church, 3331 Harvester Ave., with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Bob Smith officiating. Calling also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Road. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to World Partners.
