RALPH R. KUGLER SR., 86, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2014, at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born in Williams County, Ohio, Ralph was a Korean War Marine veteran. He was a truck driver with Ryder for 34 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of First Christian Church, American Legion Post 330, V.F.W. 2457, Eagle 248, Moose Lodge, Navy Club, and was a Teamsters Retiree Club 414 Chairman. Ralph loved taking care of his wife and his Boston Terrier, Abby. Surviving are his loving wife of 59 years, Freda Kugler of Fort Wayne; sons, Malen (Marie) Kugler and Ralph (Kim) Kugler Jr., both of Pleasant Lake, James (Betty) Biggs and Thomas "Art" (JoAnn) Biggs, both of Fort Wayne; 17 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents, Jay and Mary Kugler; sons, Jack and Larry Biggs; two sisters; and great-great-great-granddaughter, Lilliana Preston. Service is 11 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2014, at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., with calling one hour prior. Pastor Mike Cain officiating. Calling also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2014, at the funeral home. Entombment in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to the .
