DOROTHY E. HARTZOG, 83, of Fort Wayne, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at her home. Dorothy was a native and lifetime resident of Fort Wayne and graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1947. Dorothy worked at GE Aerospace for over 30 years. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and General Electric Elex Club. Surviving are her sons, Richard Sterling (Sherri) Hartzog II of Mongo, Ind., Russell S. (Lea) Hartzog of Oakdale, Pa. and Ryan S. (Jean) Hartzog of Minnesota; daughters, Rebecca S. (Sally Cissna) Hartzog of Wisconsin and Mona S. (Larry) Bierley of Fort Wayne; brother, Richard M. Wade of Fort Wayne; sisters, Charlotte Wade and Alvina Koomler, boht of Fort Wayne; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard S. Hartzog; parents, Alvin and Lucille Wade; brother, Alvin H. Wade; and sisters, Waneta Wade and Ann Wade. Mass of Christian Burial is 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2014, at St. Jude Catholic Church, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2014, at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., with a Rosary service at 5 p.m. Burial in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch of Amarillo, Texas.
