SAM MARINO, 93, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2014, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Sayre, Ala., Sam was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army. After his military service, he work ed as an enamel operator with Essex Wire for 39 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of First Assembly of God and the Quarter Century Club at Essex Wire. He was a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather. He also enjoyed collecting antiques, sports, and going to breakfast with friends. Surviving are his sons, Marv (Jeri) Marino of Fort Wayne and Michael (Cindy) Marino of Jeffersonville, Ind.; daughter, Sharon (Craig) Andrew of Green Bay, Wis.; grandchildren, Sheila Neuhaus, Jenna (Joe) Rudolph, Tony (Michella) Marino, and Patty (Mike) Herron; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Kelly Marino and Jim Marino, both of Fort Wayne; and sisters, Mary Cobb and Ann Trosper, both of Corbin, Ky. he was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Lessie Marino; wife, Margaret Marino; brother, Joe Marino; and sister, Carmalou Lee. Funeral service is 10 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2014, at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior.
