BETTINA W. "TINA" WORTHMAN, 81, of New Haven, formerly of Fort Wayne, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, 12:23 p.m., peacefully at her home. Born Jan. 22, 1933, in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of William and Louise (White) Einhorn. She spent her formative years in Fort Wayne and graduated from North Side High School in 1951. On June 16, 1951, she married Jack Worthman; he preceded her in death on Nov. 14, 2013. She was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church, and volunteered for the Fort Wayne Christmas Bureau and for C.A.S.A. She was also a foster parent to several children. Surviving relatives include sons, Jeffery R. Worthman of St. Croix and Martin L. (Donna) Worthman of New Haven; daughters, Lisa L. Chiddister of Fort Wayne, Alice L. (Fritz) Martin of Columbia City and Faith E. (Craig) Wise of Grabill; sisters, Virgina (Joseph) Laudadio of Fort Wayne and Linda Wilkie of Lafayette; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Memorial service is 6 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2014, at Plymouth Congregational Church, 501 W. Berry St. Dr. John P. Gardner officiating.
