LEO SEITZ, 88, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2014, at Visiting Nurse, Fort Wayne. Born in Logans port, Ind., Leo served in the Navy during World War II. After the military, he work ed as a truck driver with Teamsters Local 44 for 43 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of American Legion Post 241 in Waynedale and St. Joseph Catholic Church. "He was a people person that never knew a stranger and enjoyed spending time dining with friends and family." Surviving are his son, Jeffrey (Marsha) Seitz of Fort Wayne; granddaughter, Kelli Faulkner; grandson, Scott Seitz; great-grandchildren, Samantha, Connor and Tabitha; and sisters, Barbara Chipman and Helen. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Geraldine Seitz; parents, Leo and Nona Seitz; brothers, Charles, Otto, Harry, Bert, and Jack Seitz; and sisters, Norma Langmeyer and Pauline Burquest. Service is 2 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2014, at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, with calling from noon to 2 p.m. Burial in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
