WILLIAM R. "BILL" HOLLMAN, 73, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2014, at Lutheran Hospital. Born in Fort Wayne, Bill was the superintendent of water maintenance with the City of Fort Wayne for 42 years, retiring in 2000. He was a member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church and the American Water Works Association. Bill coached Little League at Harding for several years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking and spending time with his family. Surviving are his loving wife of 54 years, Elaine Hollman of Fort Wayne; son, Todd (Kristi) Hollman of Roanoke; daughters, Stacey (Nick Jackson) Gatchell of Fort Wayne and Angela (Andrew) Happel of Concord, N.C.; grandchildren, Jillian (Robbie) Ward, Kelsey Gatchell, Drew, Maggie, and Emma Hollman, Mya and Jonah Happel; great-grandson, Trey Ward; brother, Larry (Linda) Hollman of Fort Wayne; and sisters, Dorthy (Douglas) Knuth of Fort Wayne, Eileen (Donald) Keesler of California and Joan (Ivan) Bosler of New Haven. He was preceded in death by parents, Arnold and Alma Hollman; brothers, Ralph, Earl "Bud", Dallas, and Donald Hollman; and sisters, Sally Bobay and Geraldine Wyss. Service is 11 a.m. Monday, May 12, 2014, at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4900 Fairfield Ave., with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Paul Spira officiating.
