EDWARD WILLIAM STRUBEL JR., passed away on Monday, May 12, 2014, in Fort Wayne. Born in Queens, N.Y., he grew up on Long Island where he had a love of sailing and digging clams. He met the love of his life, Adele, on the ice of the Mill Pond 51 years ago. They moved to Florida, where his first son Edward III was born, and he owned a marina for several years. This afforded him the opportunity to move to Fort Wayne and work for Patton Electric and Water Furnace International as Plant Manager until his retirement in 2012. Surviving are his wife, Adele; son, Edward III (Barb) and their children (granddaughters), Ivy and Mae; son, Christopher (Corinne); two sisters, Dolly and Linda; and many nieces and nephews.
