REGINA M. "JEAN" O'REILLY, passed peacefully on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, with her husband of 63 years by her side. Born in Fort Wayne on May 31, 1926, Jean attended St. Patrick's grade school, Central Catholic High School, and graduated in 1947 from Siena Heights College in Michigan. Upon returning home, she worked for Lincoln Life and held the position of administrative assistant to the medical director. She married J. Thomas O'Reilly in 1950, worked briefly for O'Reilly Office Supply Company, and then stayed home to raise her two sons. Jean remained active in the community; she was a member of the Fort Wayne Women's Club, Needlepoint Guild and volunteered at the Art Museum. As well as being an avid reader, Jean was a skilled Bridge player. She was a generous and active Siena Heights alumna, who kept in close touch with her classmates and the Dominican Sisters who taught her. She left behind countless beautiful works of art created by her needlepoint talent, and as both an accomplished seamstress and pianist, she enjoyed many hours sitting at the sewing machine and piano showing her grandchildren how to stitch and play. She and Tom enjoyed their family summers in northern Michigan, and travels to Siesta Key, Fla. in the winter. Jean was a gentle and fun loving woman cherished by her family and her many friends. She is survived by her husband, J.Thomas O'Reilly; sons, Tom (Anita) and Stephen; and grandchildren, Michael, Bridget, Mary, and Patrick. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Margaret Sheteron; and infant daughter, Mary Louise. Service is 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 19, 2014, at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior. Msgr. Robert C. Schulte officiating. Calling also from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 18, 2014, at the funeral home. Burial in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
