JAMES B. CONNER, 65, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at Lutheran Hospital. Born in Livingston, Tenn., James earned his bachelor's degree in history and economics from Ball State. He worked for North American Van Lines for 25 years before working at First Federal Savings of Huntington for the past 10 years. He was an active member of Plymouth Congregational Church, Summit City Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Shriners, Southwest Conservation Club, and Olive Club. James enjoyed going to church, helping in Boy Scouts, cooking, and working with his hands. Surviving are his loving wife of 43 years, Kristine (Skow) Conner of Fort Wayne; sons, James P. Conner and Shawn Conner, both of Fort Wayne; sister, Betty (William) Rutherford of Elwood; and brother, Ronnie (Cindy) Conner of Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by parents, Roy and Lola Conner. Memorial service is 11 a.m. Saturday, June, 14, 2014, at Plymouth Congregational Church, 501 W. Berry St., with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Ruth E. Phillips officiating. Calling also from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2014, at D.O.
