JAMES M. "JIM" DONELSON, 57, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Born in Gainesville, Ga., James had enlisted in the U.S. Navy but a motorcycle accident prevented him from reporting. Later he worked as an ADA Consultant with the City of Berkley, Calif. assisting in developing public places to be accessible for handicapped individuals. He was a member of North Christian Church and Nature Conservansy. He was a talented wrestler at Snider for four years, drove across the U.S.A. 25 times, and enjoyed fishing, pool, archery, geology, and was a military history enthusiast. He also enjoyed tutoring and consulting people in need. Surviving are his father, Harold L. Donelson of Fort Wayne; brother, Steve (Pamela) Donelson of Mansfield, Texas; sister, Ann (Lonnie) Millsaps of Harrison, Tenn.; nephew, Dakota L. Donelson; and niece, Shyann Donelson. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sally J. Donelson. Funeral Service is 11 a.m. Monday, June 2, 2014 at North Christian Church, 5201 Camden Dr., with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Kate Terlep officiating. Calling also from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 1, 2014 at D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.
