KENNETH N. CRANDALL, 85, of Fremont, passed away Friday, May 30, 2014, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. He was a Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of the Fremont American Legion and served on the honor guard, and was a member of the Fremont United Methodist Church. He retired as Postmaster in Fremont in 1990 after 25 years. Surviving are his wife, June Crandall of Fremont; three daughters, Suellen Crandall of Fremont, Lori Crandall of South Bend, and Jenneth (Scott) Tsuleff of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Brittany Tsuleff, Maria (Andrew) Lehr, and Zachary Tsuleff; one brother, Max Crandall of Coldwater, Mich.; 18 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert; his mother, Izora; step-mother, Ilanene (Foss) Crandall; two sisters, Mary Grace Gunthorpe, and Roberta Baker; two brothers, Roy and Dale Crandall; a stepsister; and a step-brother; and one niece, Patty Bidwell. Service is 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at the Fremont United Methodist Church. The Rev. Darin Hendrey officiating. Calling is from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 2, 2014 at the Beams Funeral Home in Fremont. Burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery, Fremont, Ind. Memorials are requested to the Fremont United Methodist Church or to the Fremont American Legion Cassel Post # 257 Honor Guard.
