BARBARA CUNNINGHAM MILLER, 83, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2014, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Newark, N.J., Barbara worked as a frame maker with Framemakers for 12 years, retiring in 2005. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, and a 34 year member of the Civic Theater Guild. She enjoyed bird watching, gardening, geneology, traveling and going to the theater. She played in the neighborhood bridge club for 40 years. Surviving are her husband, Joseph M. Miller of Fort Wayne; sons, Donald Cunningham of Fort Wayne and Bruce (Kimberly) Cunningham of Las Vegas, Nev.; daughter, Susan (James) Muhl of Indianapolis; sister, Sandra (Charles) Cluthe of Blue Bell, Pa.; brother-in-law, Ronald Sharpe of Syracuse, N.Y.; grandchildren, Lindsey (Mitchell) Johnson, Allison Muhl and Derek Muhl; and step-grandson, Blake Dixon. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Gerald W. Cunningham Jr.; parents, George A. and Marion (Lurcott) Walker; and sister, Marjorie Sharpe. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Friday, June 6, 2014, at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 5, 2014, at the funeral home. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Allen County Cancer Society.
