PATRICIA JEAN SMITH, 86, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2014 surrounded by family. Patricia was the daughter of Raymond and Laura Maybelle DeBolt, and loving wife of Clyde O. Smith. Pat led a very fulfilling life and was extremely proud of her family and career accomplishments. Pat began her successful work career by owning her own dry cleaner. After that venture, she became the executive secretary at Indiana Rod & Wire, and finished her work at Stillman's department store in retail and as their bookkeeper. Pat was also very active in her children's lives whether it be president of the PTA, Sunday school teacher, sewing dance outfits for her daughter's recitals or cheering in the stands at her son's hockey games. In her free time she loved to crochet, she was an avid reader, she enjoyed lake time, but most of all she loved spending time and cooking for family. She absolutely adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family was everything to Pat and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, of 62 years, Clyde Smith; daughter, Deb (Bruce) Westrick; son, Rick Smith; four grandchildren, Kara Smith, Austin Smith, Heidi Smid, and Holly O'Connor; and six great-grandchildren. Service is 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 6, 2014, at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior.
