MARILYN RITA PATTEE, 90, of Monroeville, died on Thursday, June 5, 2014, 12 a.m., at Adams Heritage Nursing Home, Monroe ville. Born May 16, 1924, in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late Frank C. Martin and Bertha Rosa Hoffman. She married Harry L. Pattee on Nov. 30, 1946, in Hessen Cassel; he passed away on Aug. 3, 1999. Marilyn was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church - Hessen Cassel. She was a homemaker. During World War II, she started working at GE, in Fort Wayne as a contribution toward the war effort, continuing her employment until the 1950's. Surviving are her son, Terry (Linda) Pattee of Hoagland; three grandchildren, Nathan (Melody) Pattee, Jon (fiancé, Sarah McDaniel) Pattee and Brian (Tiana) Pattee; six great-grandchildren, Leaura Pattee, Alexia Pattee, Mason Silvani, Madison Silvani, Myles Pattee, and Miley Pattee. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Verene Martin and Bonita Beckman; and one brother, Marcian Martin. Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Monday, June 9, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church - Hessen Cassel, with visitation one hour prior. Father William Kummer officiating. Visitation also from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 8, 2014, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, with a Rosary service at 4 p.m. Burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery - Hessen Cassel.
