BONNIE L. WOLFE, 82, of Churubusco, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born on July 14, 1931, in Bloomington, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Arvil "Doc" and Goldie Mae (Snare) Laymon. She was a graduate of Andrews High School. On Nov. 17, 1976, she married Verlin "Bud" Wolfe. She worked at General Electric, Alfran Nursing Home, The Oaks and Churubusco High School in 1976. She was a devoted housewife and enjoyed traveling, camping, cooking and baking. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Verlin "Bud" Wolfe; daughter, Brenda Smith of Bremerton, Wash.; step-daughters, Nila (Randy) Reimer of Columbia City and Carol (Jerry) Everly of Stem, N.C.; stepson, Allen Wolfe of Suffolk, Va.; sister, Helen Merryman of Huntington; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Georgia Hensel and Norma Myers; and brother, Arvil Laymon. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2014 at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City.
