CLARENCE EUGENE "GENE" MEEKS, 89, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Kingston at Dupont in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Clarence graduated from South Side H.S. in 1943 and was a World War II Army veteran. He was the Owner of Craftsman Litho Corp. for 38 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church, and Past President of Fort Wayne Printing House Craftsmen. Surviving are his daughter, Vicki J. (Dan) Roth of Fort Wayne; son, Kerry A. (Cinda) Meeks of Tampa, Fla.; sister, Shirley A. Miller of Hudson; grandchildren, Andrew Scott Meeks, Christopher Stephen Meeks, Kathleen (Ted) Current; great-grandchildren, Aden and Vincent Current. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence E. and Ida C. Meeks; his wife, Mary Jacqueline Meeks; his sons, Gary Steven and Randy Scott Meeks; and a brother, Lawrence Ronald Meeks. Service is 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 23, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne, Ind.
