DOROTHY L. WINDSOR, 89, passed away Friday, June 20, 2014 at Visiting Nurse in Fort Wayne. Born Jan. 2, 1925 in Grover Hill, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Rolland and Faye Jones. She was part of the Parkview Super Sixties, and was a bus rider in Fort Wayne for 51 years. Dorothy collected well over 250 stuffed teddy bears. Her hobbies included crocheting and traveling. She enjoyed getting the opportunity to shake hands with Dan Quayle, Robert Orr and Henry Kissinger. Surviving are her sons, Jerry L. (Catherine) Windsor, L. David (Melinda) Windsor both of Fort Wayne; daughters, Kathryn E. Windsor of Alta Loma, Calif., and Treva R. (Johnathon) McGowan of Orlando, Fla.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Imogene (Roger) Frost of Plainfield, Wis., and Eileen Tibbie of Homewood, Ill. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George Lewis Windsor; son, Kevin Dee Windsor; and grandson, Michael Simmons. Service is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 26, 2014 at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at the funeral home.
