OLLIE M. SHANK, 86, of Churubusco, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2014, at Visiting Nurse Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. A native of Georgia, she retired in 1988 from Dana Corporation in Churubusco after 23 years, and was a member and volunteer of Churubusco United Methodist Church. She enjoyed fishing and bird watching at her home. Surviving are her husband of over 63 years, Wilbur L. Shank; daughters, Cheryl Wyatt of Churubusco and Monica Shank of Fort Wayne; sisters, Arrie Dann of Fulton, N.Y., Louise Illum of Whittier, Calif. and Alma Foreman of Jupitor, Fla.; brother, Dr. Allen Chauncey of Jacksonville, Fla.; and grandsons, Andrew Ott of Chicago and Toby Ott of Churubusco. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and four sisters. Service is 11 a.m. Thursday at Churubusco United Methodist Church, with calling one hour prior. Pastor Corinne Boruff-Stucker officiating. Calling also from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco. Burial in Eel River Cemetery, south of Churubusco.
