PAT G. FRANKLIN, 67, was called home on Thursday, July 10, 2014, in Fort Wayne. Born in Oakland, Calif., Pat worked as an English and Social Studies teacher at Heritage Jr/Sr. High School for 17 years. He was an active member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church and Dad's of Heritage. Pat served as a member of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Pat loved reading, listening to music, traveling, and attending any Heritage event. "Most of all he loved being a grandpa." Surviving are wife, Marsha Franklin of Fort Wayne; daughters, Ashley (John) Marshall of Yoder and Jessica Franklin of Fort Wayne; four grandchildren, Abby, Jake, Gavin, and Chase; brother, Jerry (Kim) Franklin of Salinas, Calif.; and many other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Nicole Johnson Mosley; and parents, John and Doris Franklin. Service is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, 2131 Getz Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 5 and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at D.O.
