PATRICIA S. BOLTZ, 84, of Fort Wayne, passed away 3:57 a.m. Friday, July 11, 2014 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. She was born Feb. 15, 1930 in Fort Wayne, a daughter of the late John W. and Luella (Branning) Sauer. She married Dean E. Boltz on Oct. 29, 1950 in the Wayne Street Methodist Church in Fort Wayne. Pat was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church in Fort Wayne and a former member of the First Wayne Street United Methodist Church. She was a longtime choir member; involved in the United Methodist Women; and also the Emmaus Community where she was a Lay Director for the Emmaus Walk. She had received the Thanks Badge from Girl Scouts U.S.A. She was a graduate of South Side High School in 1948 and had attended West Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Mich. She was a homemaker and also a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant. Surviving are her husband, Dean E. Boltz of Fort Wayne; daughters, Deborah E. Boltz of Huntertown, Dianne B. McIntosh of New Haven, and Mar J.B. Michalak of Huntertown; three grandchildren, Daniel McIntosh, Claire (Bryan) Meraz, and Jennifer McIntosh; and one great-grandchild, Brynn Meraz. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Bethany United Methodist Church, 7715 Sunny Lane, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Dr. Jerry Wood officiating. Visitation also from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials to Girl Scouts of Northern Indiana.
