MARCEIL M. GENTH HUGHES FLETTER, 88, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014 in Fort Wayne. Born in Yoder, Ind., Marceil worked as a Secretary in the Engineering Department at American Hoist for 26 years. She was a member of Anthony Wayne First Church of God and involved with the Martha's Society there. She loved gardening and making floral arrangements. Surviving are her sister, Evelyn L. Beck of Fort Wayne; niece, Janet (William) Worrel of Ellenton, Fla.; nephew, Randy (Deborah) Beck of Fort Wayne; five stepchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; and 13 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gary and Genevieve Genth; first husband, Robert Hughes; second husband, Jack Fletter; and brother-in-law, Harry G. Beck. Funeral service is 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior. Pastor Jerry Blanchard officiating. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 14, 2014 at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home. Entombment in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne.
