CAROL M. (CLAUSS, PLANK) GALBRAITH, 77, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2014, at Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, she was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Carol grew up in a family of Restaurant people and worked at the Hobby House for many years. She opened "Family and Friends" Cafe with her daughter and was famous for her food and pies. She loved to garden and can, and was an avid reader, along with being a friend to many. Surviving are her daughters, Belinda K. Plank and Bethany L. Plank, both of Fort Wayne; sons, Michael D. (Sandra) Plank of Albion and Jeffrey P. (Mindy) Plank of Auburn; sister, Mary Ann (Steve) Clemmer of Fort Wayne; brothers, Wayne Beer of Fort Wayne and Richard (Linda) Clauss of Garrett; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Philip and Emma Clauss. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 3425 Crescent Ave., with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Dr. Larry Merino officiating. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 21, 2014, at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road.
