CARL C. LEBAMOFF, 88, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2014, at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Carl was an army veteran of both World War II and Korean War. He served in the Sixth Armored Calvary Regiment, earning two Combat Infantryman Badges and a battlefield commission. He was a 1950 graduate of Indiana University. He was a national sales representative with DQB Industries for 30 years and the owner of North Anthony Car Wash and the Automat Car Wash of Fort Wayne. He was a member of St. Nicholas Eastern Orthodox Church where he was a past president of the parish. He was also a member of Summit City Lodge 170; the Scottish Rite; Mizpah Shrine and the Retired Officers Association. Surviving are his wife, Marjorie Lebamoff of Fort Wayne; son, Craig C. (Stephanie) Lebamoff of Chicago, Ill.; daughter, Amy E. (Kevin) Knowles of Aiken, S.C.; stepdaughters, Deborah Thompson and Denise E. (Doug) DeFay, both of Fort Wayne; stepson, David (Angie) Richey of Fort Wayne; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents, Christ and Catherine (Sidova) Lebamoff; sister, Luba L. Knecht: and brother, Thomas C. Lebamoff. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Thursday, July 24, 2014, at St. Nicholas Eastern Orthodox Church, 3535 Crescent Ave., with calling one hour prior and Entry prayers at 9:30 a.m. Father Andrew Jarmus officiating. Calling also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, with a Trisagion service at 8:30 p.m. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Nicholas Eastern Orthodox Church.
