EVELYN L. DEUTER, 95, of Monroeville, died on Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at Adams Heritage. Born Nov. 20, 1918, in Mon roeville, she was the only child and daughter of the late Joseph and Flossie (Couey) Simmers. She married Arthur H. Deuter on Dec. 24, 1937; he preceded her in death in November of 2000. Evelyn was a retail associate at numerous department stores in Fort Wayne. Surviving are three daughters, Nancy L. (Don) Gangler of Jacksonville, Ala., June C. (Bob) Layne of Chicago, Ill. and Karen M. (Richard) Renninger of Fort Wayne; son, David M. Deuter of Maui, Hawaii; 10 grandchidlren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Funeral service is 1:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 4, 2014, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, 111 South Water St., Monroeville. The Rev. Ralph Klinker officiating. Visitation is from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials to Adams Heritage.
